Marshal Bangarr is from the Manmoyi community and comes from a long line of famous artists. This painting depicts fishing in the billabongs and tributaries of the Mann River. Aboriginal people hunt in the billabongs with spears and catch a variety of fish. Water lilies and their root system are also a good source of food.
